Snapshots from our farm in sunny Georgia.
Couldn’t we all use a little extra peace, love, and tranquility these days? Well, you’ve come to the right place because that’s exactly what we’re looking to share.
We’re The Olive Tree Box – growers of America’s finest quality field-grown Leccino and Sikitita olive trees. We are the makers of artisanal olive oil in Georgia and have grown over 3 million trees on our farm, so trust us when we say we know a thing or two about olive trees.
Naturally grown in the field, our trees are the real deal. You won’t find any nursery grown, manufactured cookie-cutter plants here. Our trees are exposed to the natural elements at our farm in Georgia, grown resilient, and have the extraordinary twisted trunks and untamed character to prove it.
Most trees sold online were grown in a greenhouse, potted in sterile soil, whipped by fertilizers to grow quickly, are shipped out in a year or less, and have been shielded from the natural elements. When you receive trees grown in this way, the trunk is tiny, from ¼ to ½ inch in diameter and would have a difficult time withstanding any elements. In contrast, our olive trees grow in a real field on our farm and have seen at least 3 winter cycles. This is why our root ball is bigger and heavier than anyone on the market, and the trunk diameter is typically between 1.5 and 3 (or more!) inches, twisted and knotted as a real olive tree should be!
Our olive trees can be shipped right to your front door so you can bring a bit of this heaven back to your home, garden, or wherever your special place may be.
It’s a funny world we live in – who would have thought that the lifecycle of the ancient olive tree would include getting shipped in a box. But that’s how we do it. That’s how we get it to you. And that’s why we’re The Olive Tree Box.
Why We Love Olive Trees
These olive trees have a rich history that dates back centuries to the people and cultures of the Mediterranean. But today, we’re proud to share that our farm is home to all the beauty and serenity of these charming trees located right here on American soil.
From their silver green leaves to their delicate white blossoms and exotic fruits, the olive tree is a legendary wonder. Symbols of friendship, healing, longevity, and peace, they come ready to share their spiritual gifts with those who encounter them. Plant them in a decorative urn, simple pot, or straight into the ground to bring splendor to any garden or home for generations to come. (And yes – with the right care they do live that long!)
And if that’s something you’re looking to share, an olive tree makes the perfect gift to share with loved ones. After all, it’s the gift that keeps on giving.
